Women, like wine, improve with age, part deux

This is not becoming a porno blog, nor is it a mouthpiece for Xinhuanet, but Sharon you're looking good girl. That's the second over 40 hottie I've linked to in a few days, does anyone see a trend here?

The New View Review

My new (sort of, it's a desk or two away) view. Third desk in two months...pretty par for the course for me. I'm out of an office and into a cube but I'm not griping, at least I'm working.

This part of downtown is funky. The building in the foreground, at a guess is mid-50s to mid-60s. The one behind it, in the middle, is much older. I'm guessing 30s or 40s and the monstrosity in the background (with the dreaded Q word on top of it) is probably from the oil boom 80s. The one in the middle intrigues me, I'm going to have to do a little recon and find out more about it.

Women, like wine....

Brittany was born in 1977, Holly was born in 1958 and in this pic, you'd think the reverse. Holly, you're looking good girl

I, Entertained

Greg (Molly's Dad for those of you not in the inner circle of power and prestige that is my world) and I saw I, Robot yesterday.  It was good.  Not groundbreaking, not Asimov (but Asimov inspired per observation and a line in the credits) but good nonetheless.  It was entertaining, had some interesting plot points, subversive character names and the often repeated but interesting to watch perversion of the three laws of robotics.

I recommend it.  Don't go expecting to be enlightened, just entertained.

Hot Bunnyrabbits, Satan, Cheese and Milk Action

I just got an email from "Full-Size Hairston".  That's not the subject, that's the senders name.  Spam sucks but at least it's a lot more fun to delete now that spammers are using random dictionary generators for From names.

I wonder if Full-Size knows about the new IPods?

No, really, I wouldn't kid you and I know you wanted to know...and my blog would be the first place you checked.

Putting It All Out There

I forgot to mention this earlier but Diana Krall rocks. Well, she's not technically rock but you can't exactly say one "jazzes" can you? Whatever you want to call what she does, she did it for me last night at Fiddler's Green and it was awesome. Sadly Elvis (her husband) was onstage at Lincoln Center at about the same time and didn't join her on stage, which he is often reported to do.

BTW, Ollabelle opened the show and did a great, if underapreciated, job of it. They're very blues/gospel oriented and I don't know if the audience was ready for them.

Sign, Sign, Everywhere a Sign

Anna spotted a sign in need of a clue the other day. Reminds me of my own favorite.

A sign on a pancake house near where I used to live read "Seniors, buy one get one free". I was often tempted to stop in and ask if I had to get two old gents, two old ladies or if I could mix and match.

What's in a Name? Nothing!

The only thing worse than finding that a domain name you want is taken is finding that the person who registered it isn't even using it! Not even a domain squatter, just someone who registered it and hasn't done a thing with it.

Of course I'm guilty of this too but damn, I wanted that name!

I am....I am?

20 Questions to a Better Personality (spotted here)
Wackiness: 78/100
Rationality: 38/100
Constructiveness: 62/100
Leadership: 56/100

You are a WECL--Wacky Emotional Constructive Leader. This makes you a people's advocate. You are passionate about your causes, with a good heart and good endeavors. Your personal fire is contagious, and others wish they could be as dedicated to their beliefs as you are.

Your dedication may cause you to miss the boat on life's more slight and trivial activities. You will feel no loss when skipping some inane mixer, but it can be frustrating to others to whom such things are important. While you find it difficult to see other points of view, it may be useful to act as if you do, and play along once in a while.

In any event, you have buckets of charisma and a natural skill for making people open up. Your greatest asset is an ability to make progress while keeping the peace.
